Action A11 Enhancement of synergies between LIFE and other funding opportunities

During the period February – December 2016, and in the context of the establishment and operation of the Greek LIFE Task Force (GR LTF), the team has realised a number of activities in relation to the synergies between the LIFE Programme and other European programmes.

In the course of the above-mentioned period, the initial contact with the main National Focal Points (NFPs) of other programmes has been made, while the team has identified the programmes that are thematically close to the LIFE projects’ content and has started working on the cooperation at a bilateral level. To the present, the activities of the team refer to the participation in multilateral working groups aiming at the joint provision of information, mainly at a regional level (activities coordinated by the Hellenic Agency for Local Development and Local Government), to the bilateral collaboration with the Horizon 2020 and the ESIF Operational Programmes, and to the participation in focus and working groups of European and/or macro- regional strategies and programmes. These activities are expected to continue in the next period, while new concrete collaboration actions will be added to the existing ones, including the broadening of synergies to other relevant European and international programmes.
